What is FTTH?

Fiber-To-The-Home,refers to the use of optical fiber to reach the living space of the end user. FTTH uses a series of passive devices and components such as optical fibers to realize a fully passive network from the operator’s central office to the end user’s living space, providing users with high-speed and stable telecommunications, broadcasting and Internet services.

FTTH Solutions

FTTH is a type of optical access network application that is closest to the user except the FTTD(Fiber to the Desktop) by installing the ONU in home or business users. PON technology has become a hotspot of global broadband operators, and is considered to be one of the best technical solutions to achieve FTTH.

The defining feature of FTTH is that it connects fiber optics directly to residences. Fiber optics are used in most or all last mile telecommunications. Fiber optics use optical signals to transmit data to achieve higher performance.

The basic structure of an FTTH access network is this: Fiber optic cables start from the central office, pass through a fiber distribution hub (FDH), then pass through a network access point (NAP), and finally enter the home box through a terminal that serves as the connection point.

All-Dielectric Self-Supporting(ADSS) cable adopts a non-metallic design and material so that it can be deployed directly in electric poles existed without any grounding wires. It also performs well against some extreme weather like cold, snow, ice, etc.
